Yukiko Ueda

Biography
Yukiko joins the Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy after working at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan for seven years. At METI, she was involved in trade policy, Middle East policy, business and organizational reformation of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Incorporated, and startup promotion policies. Based on her interest in sustainability and startups, she created a support scheme for sustainability-related startups, which eventually became an official policy of the ministry.
At Stanford, she is greatly interested in studying challenges and solutions to facilitate investments in sustainability-related technologies and startups to realize a future in which technologies contribute to tackling climate change. Yukiko received her BA and MPP from the University of Tokyo, majoring in private law and international public policy.
