Risha Gidwani is a Health Economist at the VA Health Economics Resource Center (HERC), a Core Investigator at the VA Center for Innovation to Implementation and a Consulting Assistant Professor in the Division of General Medical Disciplines at Stanford University.  Her research uses econometric and decision analysis techniques to identify ways to improve the quality and lower the costs of U.S. healthcare.  She has expertise in causal inference from observational data, cost-effectiveness analysis, meta-analysis, and health-related quality of life measurement.  Her content interests include: palliative care; end-of-life care; and health information technology.  She received her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree from the UCLA SPH Department of Health Services.
