Biography

Nik joins Stanford's MIP after graduating from Harvard in May 2024. At Harvard, Nik earned his bachelor's degree in psychology while captaining the Harvard Men's Soccer team for consecutive years, as selected by his teammates. During his senior year, Nik was one of three students—the sole student-athlete—chosen by faculty and staff to serve on the Harvard Department of Psychology's Committee on Undergraduate Instruction. On the eve of commencement, Nik received the John P. Reardon '60 Men's Award for being Harvard's top male scholar-athlete from his graduating class. 

Nik's passions include psychology, government, business management, interpersonal and organizational leadership, and soccer. Nik competes for the Stanford Men's Soccer team during his MIP studies. From Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada, Nik has lived in four countries and holds dual Canadian and Croatian citizenship. Nik represented Croatia's national soccer team at various international tournaments from 2016 through 2018. Most recently, Nik interned for Flame Bearers—a Boston-based company promoting gender equality and empowering women in sports—where he spearheaded a new social media series starring professional male and female athletes that speaks to the allyship between men and women in sports. Nik also helped design events for the company featuring current and retired Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
