Biography

Kylie Jones is pursuing a Master's in International Policy at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, specializing in international security, as a 2024 Knight-Hennessy Scholar. Kylie’s research interests include nuclear weapons, the global nuclear order, and the implications of emerging technology for nuclear policy. An academic and artist, Kylie seeks to tell important nuclear policy stories through both words and pictures.

Before enrolling at Stanford, Kylie worked as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow and Research Assistant at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. There, she founded the New Voices, New Ideas Conference on Diversity in Nuclear Policy, aimed at bridging the gap between nuclear policymaking circles and underrepresented communities. Her work can be found in publications and platforms such as the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Washington Quarterly, 38 North, 9DashLine, and Physicians for Social Responsibility.
