Biography

Jennifer is pursuing a master’s in international policy at Stanford, specializing in environmental policy with a focus on policy development and governance. Before joining Stanford, she worked in environmental grantmaking and advocacy. As a Program Officer at Mosaic, she managed a multi-million-dollar participatory grantmaking program that advanced clean air, water, and climate justice, successfully directing resources to over 300 environmental organizations to help build strong and resilient movements for climate justice.

Jennifer graduated with honors from Pitzer College, where she studied Environmental and International Studies, focusing on politics and conservation in Africa. Her undergraduate research examined international climate policies and the effectiveness of community-based conservation in rural Kenya and Madagascar. She is also an alumna of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs in Southern California.

With roots in both Kenya and the U.S., Jennifer's experiences fuel her passion for social impact and environmental advocacy. At Stanford, she is eager to deepen her technical expertise and learn from global policy models, with the goal of developing international environmental programs grounded in the lived realities of impacted communities. She enjoys traveling with her husband Joe, cooking, and spending time outdoors with a good book.
