Biography
Chris Dann is a Predoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science, specializing in comparative politics and the political economy of development.
Before Stanford, Dann received a BSc in Government at the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MSc in Politics Research at the University of Oxford. He then returned to LSE for two years as a pre-doctoral fellow in the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD), working for economist Professor Sir Tim Besley.
His current research interests lie in studying the global distribution of trust, both interpersonally and institutionally, and the potential knock-on effects this has for compliance with public policies and development outcomes. As a British national, Dann has not only lived in the UK but also grew up in Cyprus and Hong Kong.
