Deveney Reber
Biography
Deveney Reber is an international policy M.A. candidate at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Specializing in energy, natural resources, and the environment, Deveney is passionate about furthering renewable energy through international collaboration and secure supply chains.
Prior to Stanford, Deveney worked in trade and diplomacy for the state of Utah, where she collaborated with international partners to achieve Utah’s industry and policy objectives. In this role, she managed trade missions, hosted diplomats and implemented international MOUs. She also bolstered the state’s energy diplomacy by bringing Utah policymakers around the world to study renewable energy policy, innovation and supply chains.
Deveney holds two B.A.s in history and German studies from Brigham Young University, where she graduated cum laude. A published historian on U.S.-Native American relations and a one-time movie actress, Deveney is a European-raised avid world explorer.
