Dr. Megan J. Palmer is the Executive Director of Bio Policy and Leadership Initiatives at Stanford University, Adjunct Professor in the department of Bioengineering, and Affiliate of the Center for International Security and Cooperation. In this lecture Dr. Palmer discusses how biological threats shape our world—different types of threats and what we can do to prevent and to prepare for them. Katherine Healzer, a high school intern with Dr. Palmer’s group, also shares some ideas on how to engage with biosecurity as community members.
