Activities - Program on Social Entrepreneurship
In addition to the ten-week residency program at Stanford, the Program on Social Entrepreneurship includes the following activities:
- An undergraduate seminar service learning seminar (IR 142) taught in the winter quarter exploring the dynamic field of social entrepreneurship and its relationship to democracy and development. The course highlights the innovative work of the program's Social Entrepreneurs in Residence at Stanford (SEERS), and they will co-facilitate parts of the course.
- A graduate course (Law 508) taught in the fall quarter by PSE Faculty Director Deborah Rhode at the Stanford Law School, which examines law, social entrepreneurship and social change. The course features presentations and commentary by the SEERS.
- A number of public forums and seminars hosted by the PSE, partner institutions on campus and student groups featuring the dynamic work of the SEERS. In fall 2013, the Program partnered with the Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students' Association and the Program on Urban Studies to host the Social Innovation and the Social Entrepreneur Fall 2013 Speaker Series.
