Biden’s America, Xi’s China: What’s Now & What’s Next?

American and Chinese flags

The United States just experienced a historic election, electing Joseph R. Biden as its 46th president. At the same time, Xi Jinping continues to solidify his control over the Communist Party of China. With escalating tensions between the two countries, many wonder: How will the US presidential election affect the relationship between these two major powers? Is a return to a more peaceful equilibrium possible, or have we passed the point of no return? The China Program's Colloquia Series will explore the present and future of U.S.-China relations, asking "What's Now?", and "What's Next?"
