FSI provides support to Stanford faculty, students, and researchers for activities aimed at building student and instructor skills and capacity in the field international studies. The funding programs detailed below each have their own funding parameters, eligibility criteria, and proposal guidelines that must be followed in order to be considered for funding.

SCPKU Fellowship for Graduate Students
The Stanford Center at Peking University (SCPKU) is offering Stanford doctoral students grants and SCPKU office space. The program is open to doctoral students in all fields, disciplines, and schools. Aside from promoting cutting edge research, a key goal of the program is to enrich Stanford students’ networks by increasing opportunities that will lead to new, long-term research programs and collaborations in China, regardless of field of specialization.

CDDRL Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral ScholarsThe Center welcomes applications from pre-doctoral students at the write-up stage and from post-doctoral scholars working in any of the four program areas of democracy, development, evaluating the efficacy of democracy promotion around the world, and rule of law. Applicants working at the intersection of two or more of these issue areas will receive preferential consideration.
- Center on Advancing Decision Making in Aging Request for Proposals
CHP/PCOR Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Scholars, Faculty
Please note--this is funding for a seed project proposal and NOT a fellowship. CADMA is seeking seed project proposals for 2013-2014. Projects focusing on research highlighting the following specific aims will be considered for one year awards: - Investigating the roles that age-related changes in emotion and cognition play in decision making, especially those surrounding cognitively complex and emotionally-charged topics. - Learning how decision making processes influence day-to-day decisions, such as choices regarding exercise and diet that influence health and functional status of the elderly. - Developing and evaluating support tools or information usefully to such tools that could be provided at or near the time of when people face difficult life decisions.
- Center on the Demography and Economics of Health and Aging Request for Seed Project Proposals

Please note--this is funding for a seed project proposal and NOT a fellowship. CDEHA is seeking seed project proposals for 2013-2014. Projects focusing on research highlighting the following specific aims will be considered for one year awards: Effects of medical technology on costs, health outcomes, physical and psychological well-being, and health care decisions of the elderly. - Longitudinal and cohort studies of medical care, costs, and health and economic outcomes of older populations, in the United States and other countries, with particular emphasis on economic and health interest in outcome disparities. - Application of demographic techniques, including biodemography, to understand changes in survival, health, and well-being among the elderly over time.

- FSI Larry Yung Fellowships
Fellowship for Stanford-only Graduate Students
The fellowship will provide three quarters tuition and a reasonable living stipend to selected graduate students from Hong Kong or the People's Republic of China who are studying in one of the social sciences. Awards will be made on a competitive basis. This fellowship is made possible by a generous gift from Larry Yung.

Shorenstein APARC Fellowship for Stanford-only Graduate Students
The Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center announces its 2012–13 Shorenstein APARC/Takahashi Predoctoral Fellowship. The fellowship supports predoctoral students working within a broad range of topics related to the political economy of contemporary East Asia. Fellows whose main focus is Japan are called Takahashi Fellows, in honor of the Takahashi family, whose generous gift has made this fellowship possible. Fellows studying other regions are called Shorenstein APARC Fellows.
