REAP Brochure: Helping the Rural Poor Harvest Their Dreams
BrochurePublished by
Rural Education Action Project (REAP), 2009
Like everything else in China these days, rural education is in the midst of fundamental
change. Because of its importance, it is imperative for China's development—and for
those who live in rural areas—for the government to get education right. In short, one
of the greatest challenges for China's leaders is to remake the education system and
have it be more accessible, affordable and higher quality. The transformation is needed
at every level of the education system—from early childhood education, to the
compulsory grades 1 to 9, to high school and beyond.
