Research Interests
assessment of new medical technologies for the treatment of coronary artery disease; cost effectiveness analyses of emerging coronary revascularization techniques
Cynthia Yock is a research associate at CHP/PCOR. Her current research focuses on the costs and quality-of-life consequences of different treatments for coronary revascularization. Her work also focuses on improving the efficiency of early-stage technology assessments so payers can better understand the population-level effects of emerging medical technologies before making reimbursement decisions. She has several years of experience with coronary angiographic and ultrasound core laboratory management and quality-control programs. Her clinical experience includes participation in several trials of new and emerging technologies for treatment of coronary disease. She previously worked as a clinical research coordinator for a major medical device manufacturer, developing and testing new devices for catheter-based coronary revascularization. She received a BA in human biology and an MS in health services research, both from Stanford University.
