Popular food diets compared, Atkins comes out on top
CHP/PCOR In the NewsA group of Stanford researchers have recently completed the largest and longest-ever comparison of four popular food diets, with the lowest-carbohydrates Atkins diet coming out on top. CHP/PCOR associate Randall Stafford provided comments in the LA Times piece here (registration required). The study is also mentioned in two USNews.com articles: "Atkins Diet Wins Kudos in a New Study" and "Still No Perfect Diet." Randall was also interviewed (along with lead author Christopher Gardner, assistant professor of medicine at the Stanford Prevention Research Center) during a segment on KABC-TV (Los Angeles, March 11).
