FSI Director Chip Blacker to discuss applying entrepreneurial thinking to global issues

As part of Entrepreneurship Week at Stanford (February 24 - March 3, 2007), FSI Director Coit Blacker will address international peace and security issues in a panel discussion on The Role of Entrepreneurship in Solving World Problems. The panel will examine the role of entrepreneurial thinking in the process of seeking solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges in international peace and security, the environment and sustainability, and human health. Stanford thought leaders like Blacker will be joined on the panel with global entrepreneurs like Kavita Ramdas, CEO of the Global Fund for Women, to offer a broad range of perspectives. Tom Byers, director of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, will moderate the discussion, which will take place Wednesday, February 28 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the William R.
