U.N. Rights Council passes landmark resolution on Internet freedom
CISAC in the newsThe U.N. Human Rights Council passed a resolution declaring that access to the Internet and freedom of expression online is a human right. U.S. Ambassador Eileen Donahoe, a former CISAC affiliate, said the resolution affirms "that human rights in the digital realm must be protected and promoted" as they should be in the physical world.
