Speaker
Stirling Bryan - Stanford University
At this special seminar, Stirling Bryan -- a professor of health economics at University of Birmingham (UK); a Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy; and a CHP/PCOR visiting scholar -- will report on the almost-final results of the research project he has been conducting over the past year at CHP/PCOR, "A Comparison of Technology Coverage Decisions in the U.S. and the U.K." Bryan's project has examined fundamental questions of how medical technology coverage decisions are made, how cost-effectiveness analysis is used (or not used) in those decisions, and how the decision-making process could be improved in the United States.
