Ashish Jha, MD
Dr Jha is currently a research fellow in the Division of General Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. He was the inaugural Undersecretary's Fellow for Quality in the Veterans Health Administration. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Columbia University, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and completed his residency and chief residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. His research interests are in understanding how quality of care varies across health systems with a specific focus on racial/ethnic disparities as symptoms of poor quality, and the role that information technology and tools play in improving quality and safety while reducing racial disparities.
